      Hello. I recently updated the Pinboard theme and since I did, I am not able to add new images through the wordpress console. I’ll try and provide as much detail as I can to help you troubleshoot the issue…
      The steps I go through in adding a new image to the library…In the console I click on Library>>Add new>>select from my computer>>find the image and click “OK”. It then uploads to 100%, but does not do the “crunching” normally associated with adding a photo. Instead, it gives and “HTTP Error” at the top of the screen. When I go into the library, I can see the thumbnail of the image and click on edit. Then on the next page it shows the image and I click on “Edit Image” and then it doesn’t show the image, but instead says “Image data does not exist. Please re-upload the image.” and then my only option is to delete the image permanently since it can’t be added to any post. I initially contacted GoDaddy to see if they could replicate the issue and if by chance it was an issue on their side. They could replicate the issue. I tried using both IE and Chrome after clearing cache, restarting, and rebooting router. Same issue. I disabled all my plugins one by one trying to see what might be causing the issue and the error continued no matter what plugin I disabled. When I changed themes to a different theme, however, then uploading of images worked correctly. I was able to add images with the old version of the theme, so it must be something in the most recent update. Here are the plugins I have active to help you research potential clashes:
      Exclude Pages from Navigation

      Jetpack by WordPress.com

      Wordfence Security
      Wordpress Social Sharing Optimization (WPSSO)
      WpTouch Mobile Plugin

      I’m getting that as well though I had it with other themes I was testing too.
      It seems to take exception to pngs (a lot of jpeg images worked) though the images smaller than 300px square all worked fine regardless of file extension.

      I’ve not got round to trying it yet, but it’s something I will be trying.

      Out of your list of plugins I only have jetpack, and I had the issue before installing that.

      I assure you this is a server side issue and not a problem with Pinboard theme or even WordPress core. Make sure the permissions for the wp-uploads folder are set to 777 including recurring directories and that you don’t have a low size limit for uploading files. The size limit should be indicated by the uploader.

      Mine should be 777 but I’ll double check them first. Could be something just hasn’t picked up on the permissions.

      I admit that seems more logical, my husband owns the server and his images all upload fine on his blogs I never got round to asking him about it. (I don’t do code that’s his job.)

      Since I can’t edit my post above.
      File permissions checked twice all 777
      I’m root owner on the ftp
      I’ve deactivated all my plugins and tried different combinations of active ones
      I’ve changed the upload settings from organising into month/year folders as that is the only setting left to edit relating to images.

      I still get the error.

      I’ve got my husband on the case now, he just tried 2 htaccess tweeks from some of the suggestions on wordpress support and a few ideas of his own and neither of them worked either.

      The only way I can get an image up at the moment is to manually upload via ftp, which of course would mean manually resizing all the images. (not an ideal situation)

      He’s still looking into it but I’m preparing for a fresh reinstall.
