      Hi,

      I’ve noticed since the theme update an enormous amount of ‘page not found’ errors in my logs –
      for urls with /wp-content/themes/pinboard/styles/mediaelementplayer.css

      ON POSTS THAT HAVE NO VIDEOS –

      at first I thought it may have been a hack attempt, so I redirected the traffic to that url for now (off site)

      But it occurred to me that i should ask you about it (esp when I checked tonight and saw over 900 ips tried to access it and were bumped out) I’ve not seen this before and the only thing ‘new’ was the theme update (and of course the new WP version a few days ago)

      I have checked your website and didn’t catch such an error. It was probably a temporary caching problem, mediaelement.css was indeed removed from the latest version.

      As you can see this doesn’t happen here. I’ve double checked and made sure the theme does not accidentally attempt to load mediaelementplayer.css and there is no reference to that file in the latest version. You probably made a partial update, try installing the theme again.

      Okay, I removed Pinboard and reinstalled it. I removed my redirect and will see how it goes.

      Are you sure you haven’t overridden the pinboard_register_styles() or pinboard_enqueue_styles() functions in your child theme? Are you using W3 Total Cache? If so, can you empty the disk and/or opcode cache?

      Not sure how I managed it, I thought my child functions only included my few additions, but I had the entire functions.php in my child. Removed and all seems well again – Thanks so much! ♥
