Until a few days later I realized the search field I had placed in my footer was not functional . . . no place to enter what to search for.
The method given was to go into Editor and remove the CSS info in the Search Form section. Clearly, this doesn’t work if you still want a search form somewhere on your site. Luckily I saved the info somewhere else and can reinsert it. I don’t to, though, until I figure out how to NOT have the search field in the header.
Can anyone help me?

If you then insert it into the Footer Wide slot, it should appear in the footer without a lot of problems..
How come you took the search field out of the header using CSS? It’s just a widget that’s being loaded there.
