Can I set custom CSS for containers only on my category pages, or will any CSS changes to the container styling affect both portfolio and category/blog containers?
I’ve researched limiting excerpt character count by PHP, but I don’t have the coding skills to do it right (trimming by characters, but not truncating words or ending with a punctuation mark).
I really hope to get a uniform grid for my blog page (ex: http://danduett.com/category/touring), as the variability affects the order when infinite scroll is turned on.

This mitigates differences in the character count (given the fixed word limit) so that all my excerpts fit on two lines of text (no less, no more). I love the look of three content columns, but a uniform grid is more important to me and I don’t have the PHP skills to hack a better solution. Now on to content creation and other fine tuning!
