    isn’t this a contradiction in what you’re looking for?? A gallery that scales high res images to a smaller size and at the same time you you would like to show off high res images??

    Anyway, what you probably need is a different gallery viewer. In the theme you can choose some preinstalled ones in the settings. There are many others out there as I use FancyBox on my blog which is able adapt to the actual screen size.

    what you see is called the excerpt and works as designed. All HTML tags and graphics are stripped from the excerpt’s content:

    In case you didn’t change anything try to deactive all plugins (don’t delete). Maybe one of them inject the code in an unwanted way.
