    I’d have to see those widgets IN the column and set to 3 to be able to help you figure out why, as you say, they’re ‘squishing’ or ‘pulls the squished column more towards the middle of the page’ –

    Are you using 4 columns? If not – then the 3 column design layout should be fine – it allows for the largest size Adsense ads (300 px) with proper spacing all around – everything fits.

    I have done some work arounds in this area for several sites –

    As vetsonline suggested – you really don’t have to fuss with many changes to core coding, you can simply use an account in theme options that is unused, then over write the graphic Social Media icons with another Twitter version – (rename it if you want to, but then rename it in the code too (and so you know what did – comment it) then upload through FTP –

    One thing though, if you keep the same name for the graphic overwrite, every time there is an update to the theme – it will over write your graphics back to their defaults (unless you make a child theme for the template)

    Hi Anna,

    I do have many posts and doing the ‘redo’ as you described isn’t a cure. It goes back and forth from working to not working anyway.

    The kind of bad thing is, if you set it to attachment instead of media – visitors don’t realize that all of the thumbnails are only going to pin thumbnails, unless they actually GO to each attachment …. as a webmaster, I preferred them not having to leave the page to pin the original sized images…. (I believe less steps are better – more user friendly)

    So even if I went back into 100s of posts and changed it – it isn’t an optimal choice. πŸ™

    Just drives me bananas when something that WAS working, suddenly stops working. I was flowing along and now suddenly a ton of images are getting linked to – instead of the posts.

    Ahh thank you again. I remember doing this with the theme “responsive”. The guy that wrote that one was very helpful and walked me though a lot….

    I just found out that with this modification, the lightbox feature stopped working and I’m concerned that I’ll have users pinning (to Pinterest) directly from the image) (and currently I’m only battling that with the ‘hacks’) ugh … Fix one thing, have another …. πŸ™

    I am here for the same reason paperclip, I’ve been trying to figure out why I do not have the option to enable the gallery features in settings/media – so even though I see the selections in a gallery post, I cannot get any of the new WordPress Gallery settings to display aside from the default. That one does work.

    After deactivating jetpack etc – and other testing procedures, I finally test drove another template and it “seems” as though the gallery mosaic works – so….

    I’m here looking to see if Pinboard needs an upgrade for this option to work or there is a workaround …

    This is silly – of course it is –

    I am TRYING to locate where I can edit the “LEAVE A REPLY” and the “html blah blah” underneath the comment box –

    I’ve gone through all of the templates and can’t locate where those variables are – so nothing about my question has changed – except for the fact that you’re telling me the values are in a document attached to this theme that I cannot see – so if I can’t see it then how do I get into it to CHANGE THOSE VALUES?

    If I go to the editor it lists all of the php templates and style sheets and I do not see one named that. Do I need the secret decoder ring or James Bond glasses? ツ

    There ISN’T a document called “comment-template.php” – do you get that?

    So I certainly cannot change the values in a non existent document.
