    On a similar note – because of this answer, I realized how to fix another thing.

    To change the number of articles displayed in “Latest” (Recent), the last section of the main column, I didn’t need to mess with any code, but instead just used “Blog pages show at most XX posts” in Settings-Reading.

    -The button is still RSS button not “twitter.gif”
    -Both of them are positioned so that the dark edge of the header runs right through the middle, horizontally, making it hard to read.

    Hi Daniel,
    I just ran across this which was something I also wanted to do.
    I think these directions must have to be different now due to updates?

    I did not find that first line in “home.php”
    but I found something very similar in “header.php”:
    and I replaced it trying to match the changes (i can’t seem to insert it into this post without it getting cut even using the code shortcode)

    then uploaded the gif file to images directory of wp-includes, and changed the reference in mystyle to twitter.gif

    Added my user name to admin profile.

    But…. must have failed somewhere! Because the comments feed is gone, but no Twitter rss button shows.

    Can you tell me how to get the full line of code into a post?
    And then maybe we can fix it.

    Hi Daniel,
    Sorry to ask this, but can you verify the steps to change a content block on the home page to a different category?

    For example – I changed “featured” to my own category “Seen, Heard” a month ago. But now I want to make it the category “Forest Work”… but i cannot remember how I did it. Sigh.

    I know I had to change in at least two places:
    -in mystyles.css I changed the category at #seen-heard to #forest-work
    -in home.php I changed the h3 line of what the category was called

    However, although the title bar now says Forest Work, the content is still the “Seen, Heard” category.

    Is there another place that I have to change it?
