    I believe we are in a terminology conflict here. Let’s call Pinboard and TwentyFourtheen “themes” and the MediaElement.js polyfills “skins”. What I mean by default skin is how WP 4.0 styles the HTML5 video player by default. Pinboard theme uses a custom skin that overrides WP’s default behavior. It used to do this since WP 3.1 when MediaElement.js wasn’t part of WP Core. That’s where all the incompatibility comes from.

    The WordPress default skin is HTML5 and fully compatible with both audio, video and playlists. Converting the current skin for compatibility with WP 4.0’s MediaElement.js implementation is not a do-it-fast task. What do you find insufficient with the default skin?

    Sorry, negative. Think of it this way: Traditionally drop downs used to open on hover so the link inside parent item was still accessible on click. In Enlightenment drop downs open on click so links inside parents are inaccessible. To counter this behavior items with a link are cloned as the first element of their dropdown. This happens only when the item actually has a link, so if you don’t want to clone the item in the dropdown you just put a hashtag(#) or leave it blank. It’s simple and no need to change anything.

    I visited the website in your email and still can’t recreate the issue. The CSS you added does not interfere with that functionality. Since you’re not using menu descriptions try switching to the small navbar and see if the issue still happens.

    You have the boxes sidebar set to 4 columns but only one widget in the sidebar which causes it to improperly float to the left not leaving space for the primary sidebar. Either move the widget to the primary sidebar or add other 3 widgets to the boxes sidebar.

    I the first screenshot my first impression is you may have set a fixed width on the Facebook Like Box that is greater than the sidebar width. What’s in the second screenshot usually happens when a plugin throws a JavaScript error. Check the JS console and see if any script generates and error and deactivate the plugin that loads that script.

    Can you post a link so I can inspect these issues directly?
