    log into Wp Dashboard, Hover over appearance, then click on editor…
    You should be taken to “Stylesheet” Or style.css….same thing…

    hit ctrl+F look for :

    Your gonna want to change the color number…heres a good site, for some.

    find the color code you want and replace, the color number… you should use the # symbol infront of it…so for example #CCCCCC would be gray.

    if you want to change the color while hovering, change the color in:

    ughhh… code..lol. j/k . ok…heres how…

    your gonna have to do this via ftp… you also have to make sure to save this file as .php not .txt. this is very important…
    so once you download this, if you have dreamweaver, open it with that… or worst case, open with note pad… not wordpad…

    ok… so ftp into your site, go to wp-includes/default-widgets.php and download it…

    open with dreamweaver or notepad, or other ascii editor..

    dont be scared of the code…
    the first widget in the code is the pages widget… you should see near the top :
    class WP_Widget_Pages extends WP_Widget

    your looking for what starts at line 33.. which is..

    its not too bad… but.. here it is first, lets assume you want the same sound each time….

    find the sound you want…. lets say it is “sound.wav” if you are famillar with uploading files, upload via ftp, and get the url.. write it down…

    if not, upload through wordpress media tab, add new, upload sound….write down full url…

    next go to your dashboard, hover with mouse over appearance, click on editor…

    look at the right, you will see a list of files… look for header.php…click on it…

    look for <link rel=”pingback” href=”<?php bloginfo( ‘pingback_url’ ); ?>” />

    go to the end of it, hit enter, add this code….

    add a space after the code, before “style” replace the http: address with the url of your sound…
