    Hi – I am having a problem with the tiles for individual posts on my homepage. The tiles are not all the same size. Some are slightly smaller than others. This can affect the alignment of rows, although that is not currently a problem. Is there an easy fix for this? Have others experienced this issue? Thanks

    I don’t know the answer to your question, and have wondered the same thing. But I took a look at your site and it looks very nice. πŸ™‚ I noticed you’re having the same issues that me and two others on this forum are having and so far not getting answers to. The extra space between some of your posts in your grid. If you know how to get rid of that, now or in the near future, please let me know.

    I finally figured out how to fix the gaps in the grid problem. I downgraded to the 1.0.7 version. Apparently there are some bugs in the new version. If you have 1.0.8, you might want to downgrade as well.

    If you don’t know how to downgrade, here’s a thread with info that eventually helped me figure it out.

    Before you do it, you might want to try to plugin someone created to overwrite the problems with the new version. If you go to the link I gave you in my last reply, there is yet another link to a thread discussing the plugin and the guy who helped me told me how to install it. However, it didn’t seem to work for me. I’d try it first, though, as it is less evasive than replacing the entire theme and won’t mess with your settings. I however didn’t have a problem with my settings.

    When I installed the old version, it wouldn’t do it initially until I “uninstalled” 1.0.8. When I then tried to install 1.0.7, I was happy to find my site looked pretty much how I last left it. I I only had do one tweak, and that was an edit I had made in my CSS style sheet.

    That’s my experience anyway. I don’t want to be responsible for what happens to anyone else. πŸ˜‰ It is advised to back up the old theme first, just in case. I did it by copying the CSS Style Sheet and pasting it into a Pages document. I read two ways to do it and that was the “quick” way.

    Hi Kashemy – Thanks, that helped a lot! Now all my tiles are uniform, but there is still one small problem. The amount of text that is displayed in each container seems to vary from post to post. Some have three lines, most have five (which is perfect), and one has 6 lines, which runs over the container border. Any idea how to set a uniform amount of text in each tile?     Hey nngrey,

    If you’re the only one posting on the site, there’s a quite easy solution to it, When you’re making the post, you can always add a more tag to cut off the post at that exact spot (basicly forcing the display on the homepage to cut off the text at that point too).

    I’ll have a look-see to check if I can find something to help the issue without having to manually add something to your posts constantly.

    nngrey, your layout on your blog looks fantastic. I played around with Kashemy’s CSS edits today. They did the trick for my blog, but (unsurprisingly, in hindsight) also changed the container size on my portfolio posts. The blog posts have excerpts, the portfolio posts don’t, so the container CSS hack above doesn’t work.

    The WP support post that Kashemy shared suggests that my fix lies in setting excerpts to a maximum character length, either through PHP or a plugin, yes?
