    And yes, the Oswald font light is having problems at some sizes with special characters, not only with czech language. Try to switch to another font instead (Appearance/Theme Options/Typography) and play around with the font families.

    The function to generate the featured image for a standard post and an image post use the same values for the width and height parameter. The only difference is that the HEIGHT for the featured image in a standard post is limited when selecting the hardcropping option of the theme. Otherwise the HEIGHT is infinite (ok, not really, but a HIGH number).

    If the hardcropping is off the functions generate the same native featured image. The style is a different story and can be adjusted in the CSS if necessary.

The only difference is that the width for the featured image in a standard post is limited when selecting the hardcropping option of the theme. Otherwise the width is infinite (ok, not really, but a HIGH number).

    I use only one featured post and also hide the image on the blog page, as I don’t want it to compete with the slider images.

    @Kitsune: It’s better to use margin-bottom than margin as it gives you better control.
