      Baglarbal, I dealt with this a lot too — the way Esplanade handles columns is a little wonky, and it seems the values you enter to customize column width are saved in more than one place and may not be easy to reset. Basically it appears that two columns are handled in content-sidebar wrap in the css, and the third is handled elsewhere; thus two columns end up being instructed to “float right” which leads to some unexpected behavior.

      Unfortunately I can’t recommend many solutions which don’t require tackling the code, but if I were you I might try removing widgets from the sidebar and then replacing them, and also reverting to the defaults of various column layouts in the design. Good luck.

      … except that I’m finding it really difficult to get the columns all roughly equal widths. Some CSS seems to be being set outside of either Esplanade’s CSS page on the server, my child CSS page, or the editable CSS option in the theme’s options. Firebug is indicating the CSS code is inline in index.php, and the width being set doesn’t seem to correspond to anything anywhere else. hmm.

      Actually, I think I finally stumbled on an easy hack for this. I’m running RSS feeds of categories I want in the sidebar widgets, and then using the PECF category filter plugin for the main column. May actually suit my needs for the moment!

      kri8tiv, there are plugins which do a pretty decent job of limiting front-page content to certain categories. I am using PE Category filter (http://pavelespinal.com/resume/downloads/) with Esplanade and it’s working pretty well (though it doesn’t solve my own problem, which is getting posts to appear in three distinct categorized columns).

      I do know a bit of code, though I have mostly worked in Java and Python. It’s mostly working with someone else’s code which is stumping me, I think. I’ve got the budget to take the time to cut my teeth on the task and teach myself how to do this. Any way you can give me some tips? (I may also have the budget to kick some funds your way.)

      I’ve updated the theme and haven’t made modifications that should be making any changes, and it still is not displaying for me either in Firefox or Safari. My site is at http://gandrews.webfactional.com/icccrdev/ ; the weird CSS problems making the slider look wonky appeared when I updated.

      Daniel’s code fix appears to have partially worked for my site, http://gandrews.webfactional.com/icccrdev/, in Safari but not in Firefox. In Safari the video appears on the first cycle of the slider, but does not appear on its second time around. Any thoughts?

      I can confirm this is happening for me as well; when I submit the video-by-url form, there is some error message beginning “Warning” that shows up, but it goes by too quickly to even screencap it much less copy-paste it.

      I wouldn’t mind this feature being broken except that apparently it’s shown in the video advertising the product? as some here mentioned. That’s not really cool.
