      Yes i have been trying to do this to, i did think it would be as easy as changing left to center, but no such luck, however i have managed to do it but if you change or add in more menus you will need to manually adjust…

      Head to the style.css and find ” .nav ul { ” , replace margin:20px 0; with the following two lines, adjust the left to suit what you need;

      margin-top:20px;
      margin-left:100px;

      …Further to the above i added the code into the footer so that the category description shows up under the slider. Note that this means that if you don’t want text, your category can not have a description (maybe using the ID can get around this?)

      I managed to get it to work, I set up a category (don’t call it home, for some reason this gave me an error every time i tried to view (may of had a conflict with my page called home?))

      Set up a Page and set your settings so that the new empty page is your home page.

      Install “Page Links to” plugin and activate

      Edit your “home page” and scroll to the bottom to the page links to section, and paste in the link to the category that you want on your front page.

      Managed to sort it out using some negatix px values and using the Chrome feature “inspect element” to play around and then edit the theme.

      If i manage to get it live ill post the link on here so you can see what i was trying (and hopefully) achieved.
