I currently have one that shows up HUGE and another that is extremely fuzzy and mostly hidden behind the grid for some reason.
I tried messing with photo settings under “Add Feature Image”, but that did nothing. At least what I tried didn’t, as there are several options. Where did you try entering the dimensions you listed? Is there a place to work on “slider” images specifically that you know of?

This makes the photos in your grid change to square if they are not already.

And I believe the posts are also supposed to be in both the slider as well as in the grid. I have a HubPages page and it is designed exactly the same way … by them, not me, and I have no options to change anything except whether or not I have more than one featured hubs, which go on a carousel (same as slider).
As for it seeming weird that they show up in both, it’s really not. Not everyone is going to want to sit through the rotation of posts in the slider. Those are just to get their attention on posts you want to highlight. But scrolling down to the grid gives them a chance to view their options on their own terms. Also, you might have a post that is six months old or more that you want to keep in your slider, which won’t show in your home page grid if you’ve written several more since.
I actually went to your page to see what it looked like since you posted this. It looks very nice. I hope you aren’t offended, but I have a couple of suggestions for you. The text below your featured posts is grammatically/mechanically not written correctly. Since this is the first thing your readers see, you want to make the best impression you can.
You are not afraid of embracing the intensity of their (YOUR?) passion, (PERIOD, DASH OR ELLIPSE . . .) (CAPITLIZE NEXT SENTENCE OR PHRASE) you are not afraid of being different , you put your body through hell, you get up at night by the cramps, sores and blisters (THIS DOESN’T MAKE SENSE) ,you who push your heart, mind and soul for that one extra mile.
Here it is written in sentence form:
You are not afraid of embracing the intensity of your passion. You are not afraid of being different. You put your body through hell. You get up at night from the pain of cramps, sores and blisters. You, who push your heart, mind and soul for that one extra mile.
I understand if you don’t want it in sentence form for the type of text it is. Here it is with dashes.

OR with ellipses

Using commas makes it appear as one big run on sentence to me, so if not creating actual sentences, breaking up the phrases with something else seems appropriate. Just my opinion, though!
Also, I took a quick look at one of your posts. It would look nicer if you deleted the extra spaces between paragraphs. I don’t know why extra spaces appear automatically when you paste content in and I’m trying to figure out if there’s a way to keep that from happening. For now, I delete all the extra spaces every time I write a post. When its spread out with all those spaces, it might seem more daunting to a reader as it seems more lengthy, requires more scrolling and is just not as visually pleasing.
I’m sort a stickler for details like this and find myself offering my opinion when not necessarily asked. Again, I hope you are not offended and your site really does look nice and seems to be filled with good and useful information. Best of luck to you. Take care.
