      Hah I was too. Sadly no luck. The margin just appears around the container but the text still doesn’t wrap properly and goes over the margin.

      Afraid no better. It’s strange – it happens every 5 or so refreshes and only in IE. I am running WordPress 4.2.2 with Pinboard 1.1.12 and if it helps, my custom style.css:

      OK so it turns out colorbox.js was missing. I think it got renamed to jquery.colorbox.js perhaps? However, I have a few pages (including WordPress 3.8 admin pages) trying to load colorbox.js. For now I’m going to copy colorbox.js from an old version of Pinboard but I feel this is a kind of hack – is this a Pinboard issue?

      Dan – any chance you could take a quick look at this please? Basically load this blog page and then hit refresh and you’ll notice my feature images disappear! Only happens in IE. Would really appreciate thoughts.

      Correct – a 586×300 version *has* been created but just isn’t loaded. The problem can be recreated if you refresh this blog page a few times (and then Featured Image is replaced by a dead image link in IE).

      Anyone else had this issue for ‘Featured Images’ of blog posts? I think I’ve realised it’s something to do with image resizing issues because I get this issue when running off a local server.

      One example is a 586×700 png file, which I’ve selected for the feature image. On my blog page, the featured image tries to load a 586×300 version of the image (probably courtesy of Tim Thumb) but fails to do so because Tim Thumb hasn’t created it. Really appreciate thoughts because I’ve been resizing images to try and get round the issue!

      Bah ok so just realised the slider is being included as part of page.php logic:

      if(is_front_page())

      Whilst this is fine for the front page, the slider still exists in my blog page (even though this *should* return false for Static Front Page>Posts Page>My Blog page according to the reference documentation).

      Am I missing something? Thanks.

      Ahh – so I had chosen Blog, Left Sidebar as the template from the start, but it seems the “Reading Settings>Posts Page” setting overwrote that template to “Sidebar/Content” setting. I was trying to hide the sticky slides from being posted at the top, so I will modify the Sidebar/Content page in my child theme now instead. Thanks for pointing out the template was not what I was expecting! πŸ™‚

      Hi Dan, thanks for quick response.

      I actually did that in the first place – I assigned “Blog, Left Sidebar” to it, yet I’m still getting the slider images loading in the background as seen here.

      Reason I’m keen to remove the loading of slider images in the background is because if you start browsing to later pages in my blog, some of the images stop loading (page 3 onwards), particularly in Internet Explorer. I even have a CDN enabled…(I will also compressed the png too) but really keen to stop un-needed images being loaded!

      First WordPress site, which took about a month and a half (starting at installing WordPress on XAMPP to migrating it to Bluehost last night)! Really steep learning curve but there have been some excellent tutorials online (including Alexander’s). Firebug was also invaluable.

      Hey Alexander – firstly I’ve enjoyed reading your tutorials so thanks for giving so much to the Pinboard community. My website would creating experience would have taken so much longer without your tutorials.

      I actually found that link before, but the only thing it doesn’t mention is an extra step at the end, which is required to fix any links in your posts from http://localhost/artistic-touch/ to http://www.artistic-touch.co.uk.

      I ended up using the WordPress plugin “Search Regex”, which was really simple to use and it fixed all my links very quickly! I hope this is useful for others.
