    It is possible that you have to activate that option first. On the top of the page there should be shown “Screen options” on the upper right corner of your “Edit page” area. Klick on their and put a hook behind “Featured Image” in the image coming down.

    At the bottom of your “Edit post”-page you should now be able to set a featured image.

    Using the gallery for that requires you to take a different approach so I’d stick to that one if you’re not really familiar with WordPress.

    You have to create a custom field in the post itself.
    So go and start a new post, choose a custom image and add a custom field (if you can’t see that option below the content box you have to activate it. Click on “Screen options” at the top and check the box in front of “custom fields”).
    Call the custom field Linkage and define the value by chosing a link

    Okay, then let’s do it differently… Replace <*?php bloginfo( ‘name’ ); ?*> with the image link <*img src=”/wp-content/themes/minimatica-child/logo.png” /*>. The line should end up looking like this:

    That way the logo is automatically positioned correctly and as long as the image source is correct there shouldn’t be any problems.

    Easiest way: get into the header.php and replace the line before the end of the header with a picutre.
    Meaning you would take out the whole part <<?php ech…$heading_tag; ?>> and replace it with something like that:

    Put the corresponding logo into the folder shown above and change the style to your liking.

    I’m sure there are “nicer” options out there as this one is quite “rude” but it should work and doesn’t require too much work.

    Grab Firebug (developer plugin, quite handy) or something similar and inspect the background of the slider a bit closer. Then you’ll see:

    Hi cdhodgdon,
    1st: afaIk there is no featured image for pages (correct me if I’m wrong on that one). The easiest way to get the same result is creating an article with the title and featured image you want to be shown for the page and then do a small change to the code. For that, check out this little trick here:

    Link slider to a page instead of post

    I guess you wouldn’t want the article used for that to be shown in the archives (or anywhere else for that purpose). I’d combine it with this plugin:

    2nd: well, see above. IF there was an option for a featured image coming from a page, you would still have to use the small code I linked first. Your only advantage would be that you would not have to use the “untidy” help of a plugin for hiding that post.

    It’s an unfinished website but I think you can get the general idea. Check out if that would be the way you want your site to work (I only used external links)

    Had to edit the .pot-file and translated the search form as we well; will show as “Durchsuche diese Website”.

    For it to work properly, you’ll have to correct two small things in the functions.php:
    Add “Maybe try the archives or use another search term.” to “The content you are looking for could not be found.” and correct the spelling mistake “Use the information below or try to SEACH to find what you\’re looking for:” to “search”.
