      Sorry I misunderstood your issue. The above will only link the slider image to a like named page.

      Looking for the same thing but I believe it needs to be an IF statement to work correctly:

      If
      on home page – clicking a slide image the link takes you to the category page with a new slider.

      Otherwise clicking on a slider image ON a Category page performs normally and the link takes you to the individual post.

      Any good PHP folks out there to help with a simple IF statement?

      I’m new to this theme as well but my understanding is that the slide pulls images from your most recent posts. So to get an image on the slider, create a new post then choose a featured image of that post.

      The choose featured image option is at the right-bottom of the new post page.

      The only easy way I have found to control which posts go to the front page (or any category page) is by editing the post date.
